LYLA is a five-piece outfit from Manchester who describe their sound as ‘Funk-Infused-Indie Soul’ - Fronted by LauraELL,  alongside a group of exquisite players/writers : Jack Duckham (Guitar) & Stu Whitehead (Bass) - The line up brings together styles of Jazz, Funk & Soul, infused with an Indie twist and a heavy serving of disco-flared bass lines.

 

Having only released 3 singles, LYLA’s  first recordings were co-produced with Yvonne Ellis (Simply Red, Corinne Bailey Rae) and received attention from Guy Garvey (BBC RADIO 6 MUSIC), BBC radio Manchester & BBC introducing  - leading to shows at Dublin Castle in London, Moovin Festival, a hometown headline performance and support for Oscar Jerome.

 

The funky northerners are set to release an EP in 2022 exploring classic and vintage sounds with  a modern twist, to feed your soul and get your feet moving.
